Inverted Mesa crystal transition from structure surface to mesa surface have different angles or slopes; the following depict recommended edges to use when plating Mesa crystal blanks.  

The following group depicts electrode Good patterns.  The dashed lines detail the bottom electrode, with the solid representing the top side electrode.

The group below are Bad and will generally result in high impedance and no operation.
